Spine Concept Skiroll Classic 11 NNN Boots

I bought these shoes due to the necessity of a lighter-weight, breathable training shoe for the harsh, sweltering Souheastern U.S. summers that turn classic winter boots into horrible sweaty ovens. These shoes perform perfectly -- true to size, excellent flex, enough heel-counter support to handle the height of rollerski wheels, but not so much to compromise form -- but most importantly, they give a good Classic-ski feel while still letting your feet breathe. They dry out quickly -- whether from sweat or rain -- so even from heavy daily use, they are always dry and ready for the next day. Although I usually wear heavy-padded socks because I'm used to most athletic shoes causing hotspots over time, these shoes are comfortable and snug enough to wear thin socks, or no socks at all, depending on the temperature. Overall, the excellent fit, snow-like "classic" feel that maximizes both security and freedom of movement, and durable, breathable material make this my new favorite rollerskiing shoe. Also, the color-scheme is quite visible on the road, which is a real plus in high-traffic areas. (For reference, I roll a heavy-stiffness Swix Triac carbon classic rollerski with higher-than-average ground-clearance that these shoes handle like a champ, even without extra ankle support. Literally can't stop gushing about this shoe.)
