Turns out this was the 6th year showcasing our rollerskis at the expo! It was great to hear from so many customers as our customer base has grown many folds since the early years. After 2 days of talking to hundreds of skiers at the expo, it was time to race Saturday morning!
This year we had a handful of skier wearing the RollerskiShop.com racing suits, so maybe you spotted some of the bright yellow and black. It was the hottest Birkie that I could remember fighting overheating through the power lines even though I couldn't have dressed any lighter on top other than cutting off my sleeves! After I ditched my hat I felt better and ready to push around 15 km. The snow was very dirty and varied from soft to firm. With the rain and melting leading up to the race we were lucky to have what we had. Picture below by Skinnyski.com was taken at OO. I ended up finishing 175th out of the men with a time of 2:36:03. Already have Birkie 2017 Fever!
