You can measure your foot by backing it up against a wall barefoot and measure out. Generally for summer sock thickness and to ensure toes aren't rubbing on front, you want a boot that is your foot length plus ~1/2-5/8"

SPINE Summer Skate Shoes
I am extremely satisfied with these shoes! I've had mine for nearly a year now -- probably close to around 2,500 miles on them at least by now -- nearly daily use with usually 10-20 miles per session, some pretty steep uphills and slightly ill-advised sharp downhill curves on public roads where agility is a premium -- long story short, I've put 'em through a pretty abusive existence. These shoes have handled everything I've thrown at them, and show no sign of slowing down. The fit is excellent, snug and secure, the materials are extremely durable (even after a couple of close calls and crash landings on gravel, these shoes have barely even a scratch), and the upper is breathable enough even for the hot summer days of the Southeastern U.S. (e.g. 100° F, 80-90% humidity). Eventually, if my first pair ever wear out, these will definitely be my go-to skate shoes in the future. I am amazed at their durability and performance under pressure, and expect a whole lot more use out of my first pair based on what I've seen so far.

Cool boots
These Spine rollerskis boots are nice for summer training. They are much cooler to rollerski in during hot summer days than winter boots. They are true to size and provide ample support. The added Velcro strap with this model adds a bit more tightness however is slightly longer than necessary. The strap does hang slightly below the bottom of the boot, when fully tightened, but does not interfere with the ground while on rollerskis. Overall, I am impressed with the quality of this boot for the price point. If you train on rollerskis regularly this product is worth purchasing.
