Closeout model - Great entry level classic summer rollerski boot. Works with Prolink and Turnamic classic bindings. Does not work with the Rottefella rollerski bindings however as this model year has plastic above toe bar that interferes with clamping in which Alpina fixed with newer rollerski boot models. Adjustable heel strap controls keeping the heel down.
If new to classic rollerskiing, combi boots for classic rollerskiing would provide more ankle support if you don't have great balance.
Run a little long for sizing.
We measured the inside lengths (stuck tape measure inside boot with insole in) and got the following lengths:
38 Euro: 9 5/8"
39 Euro:
40 Euro: 10 1/8"
41 Euro: 10 1/2"
42 Euro: 10 5/8"
43 Euro: 11
44 Euro:
45 Euro: 11 1/2"
46 Euro: 11 5/8"
You can measure your foot by backing it up against a wall barefoot and measure out. Generally for summer sock thickness and to ensure toes aren't rubbing on front, you want a boot that is your foot length plus ~1/2-5/8"

Alpina RCL Summer Boot
Clayton, at Roller Ski Shop, could not have been more helpful. He even took the time to personally measure several different of the brands and get back to me with the comparisons. As for the boot, I've put it through quite a bit of drill work, and now starting to do some interval sprints with it. I have no complaints. It's true that it is roomy, but I had no issues with support. The lacing seems designed to sit the foot well and provide all the support one needs. I wear a 10 1/5 dress shoe and an 11 sneaker. I bought this boot in 45 and am content with it.
