I am baffled why this is not on all poles. I learned to ski in the era of cables around hiking boots and I feel like normal poles are in that kind of a backward state. This product, however, is absolutely light years ahead. I don't think I need to convince anyone that putting on normal pole straps is incredibly annoying. But here are a couple of other bonuses of this kind of a system. When I have a bug in my face roller skiing I don't want to swat at it with a potential impaling spear in my hand; I unclip, deal with it, and then clip in and resume with no fuss. Also, when it's quite chilly the absolute last word in warm hands are hand covers (like winter cyclists use). With normal straps, that's nearly impossible but with these, not a problem. Slide your hand in, clip in and off you go. Also crossing roads is something I have to do too much of and what do you do with normal poles? Take them off? Do incredibly awkward flailing around. And those are special cases. I love this pole strap system every time I go out and simply can not contemplate having a decent experience without them. I've been out with the same set of these grips on Swix Quantum07 poles over 55 times so far this year and they still work flawlessly. If they fail tomorrow, I'll confidently just keep buying them and thinking them a great deal.
